Can you run Java Application in eyeOS?
Best Regards,
Yves
mmm first of all let me tell you i'm a math teacher with very poor informatic knowledge, but i think you can run java apps there, because there are some games i think they are java based that run there.
The OS can be tried in a free server just entering and registering at http://eyeos.info
I'm investigating this new option because the pc at my school are very old, and some don't run java and geogebra properly, in fact they don't have USB connections... I think that with geogebra installed on a good server and my pupils working online with eyeos in that server i could solve the problem...
It would be good if you get that information for us as a starting point...
Best Regards,
Yves
ok, i've read in the eyeos forums that there are java-based programs in eyeos
in the info page for the version 1.2 i found this:
We would like to present some of the new features and improvements that eyeOS 1.2 will come with, and we’ll start with the ability of running Java Applications, thanks to some new widgets (leadered by the new java applet widget) that will allow Java apps to run on eyeOS.
i hope this helps...
