I understand that the parameter errorDialogsActive is for Java only, but is there anyway for me to disable the error output, maybe through the .ggb file?

In ggbOnInit() you can use ggbApplet.setErrorDialogsActive(false);.
The parameter is implemented in development version that will be released this or next week, so you can also just wait a bit :).
