Double inputbox in online version

Solved

I noticed a change while using input boxes with online version. When selected, another box opens over existing one, moved up and righ from the start point of the first box. This creates a problem on mobile phone because shift is so big that you can see the same data you typed in both boxes (overlapsing) and this really doesn't look good and creates confusion for user.

This wasn't happening before, there was a shift but just slightly down and right. Could you please check what is going on?

You can check described problem on this applet: https://ggbm.at/hEW5tejf

Best regards,

Mihaela

These are screenshots from my mobile phone (first two) and laptop, two different applets. On laptop it's not so bad although it was better then is now. Before, you could see emphesizing but it wasn't looking like there are two boxes.

What browser are you using on your phone? For me it's similar to lap_screen.png

Chrome on both devices. The same problem had my colleague on firefox aswell. It was just fine until recently.

Geogebra is fantastic and powerfull tool. Therefor we made a decision to use it for creating interactions for digital textbook. Our project is almost finished and we have to conduct final tuning on our applets.

I really appreciate all the work developers are doing in updating and making this tool even better.

Now, we are in the situation that our eight months work (and over 500 applets) is to be rejected if we don't fix this and we have no influence on this appearance problem with tablets and mobile phones.

Can you somehow make active input boxes bigger again to cover what is seen underneath them?

Please...

This problem is more visible in bigger size boxes. Small and extra small are ok, middle and big are each more bad on smaller screens. See attached image for big input box.

Although the problem is minimized, the way active input fields are designed could be much better. Instead of the tin blue frame few pixels displaced from the position of the original input filed, it could be on the same position, using some kind of highlight or something. This is the example of current functionality: https://www.geogebra.org/m/uawadcFR.

I also attached video of another ggb interaction with active field frame so much displaced that it goes over characters near the field.

I'm aware that this is not a crucial thing but take a look at the first example at the top of this page: https://www.w3schools.com/C.... Maybe something like this would be a better way to do it? just an idea for valuable Geogebra framework/tools developers.
