Disappearing surfaces of revolution in 3D as a result of zoom

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have traced a 2D photo using functions, and now I am attempting to use the 'surface' command to rotate those functions about the x-Axis for form a 3D object. However, when using the surface command to rotate some functions, the surface of it becomes completely invisible/disappears completely when I zoom OUT.

I have attached the file with both the function, and its resulting object from the 'Surface' command, rotated 2pi about the xAxis. When zoomed out any further, the object disappears...

Just need to use the long form of the surface command. See attached. New surface b is same surface as a but using long form.

I do not know why, or how that works....but it works beautifully.

Thankyou very much for the speedy reply.

Anyway, I think that this is worth a look by the 3D peeps :)

I'm looping this post to the Support Team.
