None of this works. Instead, the background grid starts moving.

I hate manuals that don't apply to the software they are describing.

The art of documentation is in a primitive state. Very frustrating.

and which version : GeoGebra 5 or GeoGebra 6 ?

because it is different..!

------------------

on MAC GG5 : select is cmd and rectangle is ctrl

on MAC GG6 : select is ctrl and rectangle is alt

But, on MAC GG6, for selecting a rectangle : i have to do this : hold alt, clic in graphics and immediately after draw the rectangle

perhap's you have the same problem with your Windows 10 machine..? (i don't know : try with alt or ctrl or cmd : "immediately after" is important)

On my win10 laptop (as well for Classic 5 and 6) right-clicking an dragging to define a rectangle works. No crtl is needed. Works in the mouse pad of my laptop and external mouse.

espero que se traduzca correctamente

yo he notado que es más facil crear el rectangulo si pulsamos el boton derecho mientras arrastramos de abajo-derecha a arriba-izquierda
