Please report to Google from Chrome: Help -> Report an Issue

(looks like a Chrome bug)

We are also experiencing this issue. Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

Just looked at the crash report, it seems to be an issue with memory access.

  1. Process Name:chrome.exe : C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
  2. Process Architecture:x64
  3. Exception Code:0xC0000005
  4. Exception Information:The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
  5. Heap Information:Not Present

It seems that the issue is still happening. I tested it in Chrome for Windows and Mac. :(

I have sent reports to Google Chrome but it seems they are too busy.

Chrome developers reported this was fixed:

still happening. I just checked it... I tried clearing browsing data but it did not work. I will keep reporting to Chrome. Thanks

I'm happy to report that my applets that had this crash are now functioning in the Canary build of Chrome. Hopefully the stable release will come soon and the bug will be squashed for all.

It's just fixed, not released to all channels. It was still broken with 62.0.3199.0 but it's fixed in 62.0.3200.0. I don't know when it will go to the 60 and 61 branches (I guess a week or two, see https://chromereleases.goog... ). I think a further report to Google is not necessary.

I had several applets with this crash, and I am happy to report that they are all working with the Canary build of Chrome. So hopefully in the next stable release, this bug will be fixed for all.
