Hello,
I am a student from Brazil, in an University and I have already downloaded Geogebra 6.x before to use it for Geometry and Calculus. This semester, I have a specific class where the teacher asked to download version 5.x, but I looked in the website and I noticed that both version still exits. Is there any specific difference between the two versions? Shall I keep the actual version that I have installed, I mean, 6.x? Or shall I quit this and install version 5.x?
Thanks,
R. de Souza

both versions are OK, it just depends on what you want to do with it. GG5 is the older one with a smoothier user face for advanced authoring in dialogs, scripting and other layout features. Its graphic interface differs from the apps. And this is when GG6 comes into sight. It's a smooth users version, not the cockpit of a plane and the inputfield has some intelligent features as special points of functions. When using GG6 it doesn't matter which device you're using (pc or apps on phone) since they're speaking the same language.
I've still got both versions downloaded to have the choice according to the occasion

Cris,
Thanks for the feedback. I also sent a note to the teacher in the University and I am waiting the reply. I was not aware that we could have both versions installed on the same PC. It´s good to know that.
Thanks,
