Yes, try

  1. SurdText(81π / 2,{pi})

I knew it

my question is about the list referred in help

  1. SurdText[ <Number>, <List> ]Creates text representation of the number as multiples of the

    constants in the list. If the list is empty it uses a list of common

    constants.

is not pi in the list?

and now I think there is a little bug

if I type

text=surdtext(pi,{pi})

text=surdtext(3 pi,{pi})

text=surdtext(4pi,{pi})

then GG creates text,text_1,text_2

  • win8.1

GeoGebra 5.0.380.0-3D (Java 1.7.0_40-32bit, 247MB, CAS Initialising) 31 July2017

  • the problem is not in ver 6 but I can not use ALT+P for pi after a {}
  • I do not understand why I must remark pi in a set if pi is in the default set

you are right

opening an empty worksheet

typing my three sysntaxes I have problem ever

opening an empty worksheet then open and close the CAS window (CAS initialising change to GIAC); I have not the problem

also note that SurdText currently tries to reconstruct a formula from decimal number, that's in general impossible (there might be a fraction, square root and multiple of pi very close to each other). With FormulaText you can use the definition of the input number; for instance a=81pi/2, FormulaText[a]
