Changing the horizontal axis variable

Hi,


I want to plot a function in terms of another function like here (having other variable in the horizontal axis other than x)


dUc/dt = 5e^(t/5)

Ur = 25e^(t/5)

I think I found how to do it!


One can achieve this using the curve function.

You cn define functions as Ur(t)=25e^(t/5).When rightclicking in the Graphics you can change the label and/or units of x and y axis as you want

That only changes x to tbut I want the horizontal axis to be dUc/dt

Hi Adel!


If you ask, if GeoGebra can find "automatically" the relation between two given functions, the answer is, as far as I know - NO.

It is up to you, to find it and in your example it is quite obiously.

So in this and other cases to, you have to find the relation between the two functions and, as Chris even said, rename the axes and that should be sufficient.

You can use LaTeX for renaming the axes by using the well-known "$...$"-Tag.


If you have problems with finding the relationship - ask.

Sorry Adel, I don't know such a software.

Actually can't exist such a program, that answer all possible questions of that kind: "Which connection do function f have to function g" or "How can I, if possible, transform function f to function g".

There are many equation in the mathematical cosmos, that you cannot be solved on principle.


I guess, that Mathematica is the most capable CAS in investigating functions and their relationship, but I really don't know.

So if you are asking for a "common solution machine", the answer for the existence of such a software is no, if you asking for a special or concrete relationship, I would think, that Mathematica is the best candidate for finding it.
