Change the Key on a stem and leaf plot

Hi

Just wondering if its possible to change the "key" on a stem and leaf plot. Currently it seems to be set to "Key = 3|1 " by default, even if 31 is not in the data set.

It would be nice if I could change it to a number that is in the data set.

Any advice?

As far as I can see that particular text must be hardcoden in the code. It is nowhere in the properties or in the translations as far as I can see. You probably have to live with it unless you create your own text box with your own explanation/key.

I guess we can improve this, but there's a lot of other stuff to do. Wokraround

text1=StemPlot[{12,13,14,21,21,22}]

text2=FormulaText[Take[ text1, 1, IndexOf["text",text1] +4]+"{Key: 2|1 means 21}} \\ \end{tabular}}"]

Hi, just to play :

    text2 = FormulaText[Take[text1, 1, IndexOf["text", text1] + 9] + (Take[text1, IndexOf["&", text1] - 1, IndexOf["&", text1] - 1]) + "|" + (Take[text1, IndexOf["&", text1] + 1, IndexOf["&", text1] + 1]) + " means " + (Take[text1, IndexOf["&", text1] - 1, IndexOf["&", text1] - 1]) + (Take[text1, IndexOf["&", text1] + 1, IndexOf["&", text1] + 1]) + (Take[text1, IndexOf["means", text1] + 8, IndexOf["end{tab", text1] + 12])]

a litle more easy :

you can :

0) text1=StemPlot[{12,13,14,21,21,22}]

1) select text1

2) press F4

3) in the input bar, change 3|1 means 31 by what you want

4) write

    text2=Formulatext[

before the first " and add

    ]

after the second "

5) press enter
