# CAS NSolve sine-equation for given interval

Hi.

We have encountered a problem solving a sine-equation for a given x-interval.

The exact solution works fine, but not the numerical solution.

WORKS:

1. Solve[{sin(x) = 0.28, x>=0, x<pi}]

GIVES QUESTION MARK ONLY

1. NSolve[{sin(x) = 0.28, x>=0, x<pi}]

Is there a reason for this? Or a quick fix? ( Løs[] and NLøs[] are Norwegian commands for Solve[] and NSolve[] )

Geogebra 5.0.321.0, MacOS ps or this with the Numeric Evaluation Tool

1. Solve[{sin(x) = 0.28, x>=0, x<pi}] 1

This is the correct syntax :)

1. NSolve[sin(x) = 0.28, x=1] 2

ps or this with the Numeric Evaluation Tool

1. Solve[{sin(x) = 0.28, x>=0, x<pi}] 1

Tanks. So there is no way to make cas evaluate all the numerical values of the asines within the given interval? When Solve[{sin(x) = 0.28, x>= 0, x < 4pi}] gives four solutions, NSolve[sin(x) = 0.28, x=1] gives only one.

It is of course no BIG deal, as one could always do it manually, but it would be a nice feature.
