Attached files not appearing in emails

I’ve asked students to send me their ggb file by email and when they do, no attachments appear. I have been able to replicate this by sending from another account. Any idea what the problem could be?

I am sorry, but am not able to reproduce your issue. I send geogebra files daily on different domains (besides the usual google, outlook, etc, also to private domains/institutions etc...) and never had problems.

Maybe your school domain has some restrictions on the attchments?

in this case rename *.ggb file to *.zip then, after sending, rename from *.zip to *.ggb

May be this problem is the other way round:

Email server filters zip-files and ggb is recognized as zip file

Yes, zip files are definitely an issue on my school's server. I'll try changing the extension as soon as I have a chance and report back.

Maybe asking your IT manager to allow .ggb attachments is better than asking the kids to change the extension of their files before sending them...

Changing the extension works, but I’ve contacted IT to see if they can fix the problem.

Thanks.
