Hello everybody,

I don't know if this is the appropriate forum and if this is an appropriate question, but I would like to know if there is the possibility of a better interaction with user in Geogebra.

I'm trying to create a web applet were my students answer a numeric question. At the moment, the only possibilities I know is using an slider, so the student moves the slider to the correct answer, or a checking box. The problem is that I don't want the students to choose, I want them to write the correct number.

Is there the possibility that the student introduces a number in a box and geogebra assigns the value of a variable to the answer in the box?

I am working with Scratch and this question is very easy to do, so I don't know if it could be solved also in Geogebra.

Thanks in advance!

With 3.2 this can be done via Javascript (see http://www.geogebra.org/en/... and the linked examples), you can also try 4.0 beta which introduces textboxes.

Nice example Noel, I could follow it even though I have no French.

Here is a way of doing it using the input bar.
