A Problem on Volume Calculation
Answered
Hi,
In the attached file prepared by ver 4.9.119, the volume of Pyramid ABCD is shown to be 6734.49 cm³ when ∠ADC = 90°. I do the calculation myself and the value is correct. However, when I drag the slider to fold the triangle and change the value of ∠ADC, the volume becomes incorrect. When I change the value of ∠ADC back to 90°, the volume becomes 6738.22 cm³ . Note that if I save at this value of∠ADC and reopen the file the volume becomes correct again.
Can the problem be solved?
Regards,
Anthony

Hi,
Bad bug : I'll try to fix it quickly.
Workaround for now : you can use
DB * Area[Polygon[A, C, D]] / 3
for this particular case.
Thanks for report !
Cheers,
Mathieu
