In an empty row (to get an object) type 4*Alt+e ^(2x)
In a LaTeX text 4*e^{2x}
If you use the shortcut Alt+e in version 6, GeoGebra automatically recognizes that what you are typing after it is the exponent, and places it as superscript with no further need of brackets.
Input in version 5 needs brackets.
