I have a 2D applet and I can move one point along a circle by clicking on the little triangle next to it. This shows a video of the construction changing accordingly. How can I capture and export this video from GeoGebra?

I guess I am still too much of a novice to even understand your response. Are you saying this is already supported? Is there an access to this via the GUI? I do not know how to issue the exportImage command and from where? I never opened a command line window for Geogebra or something like that. I am not aware that it exists. I am actually a Linux user and comfortable programming and using the command line. In fact, recent changes in the UI give me a lot of trouble. The interface used to be quite good before it deteriorated. Windows are small, impossible to resize, I cannot find the open in app menu item. So writing scripts may be a quite welcome.

GUI..? UI..? command line window..? writing scripts..?

you just have to write in input bar :

ExportImage("filename", "image.gif", "type", "gif", "slider", a, "loop", true, "time", 200, "width", 400)

(if your slider name is a, time is 200ms and width is 400pixels)

(for GeoGebra 5, read notes in the bottom of the page)
