"You cannot edit your posts in this forum"

I'm wondering why I can't edit my posts.

The FAQ suggests it's possible:

Unless you are a board administrator or moderator, you can only edit or delete your own posts. You can edit a post by clicking the edit button for the relevant post, sometimes for only a limited time after the post was made. If someone has already replied to the post, you will find a small piece of text output below the post when you return to the topic which lists the number of times you edited it along with the date and time. This will only appear if someone has made a reply; it will not appear if a moderator or administrator edited the post, though they may leave a note as to why they’ve edited the post at their own discretion. Please note that normal users cannot delete a post once someone has replied.

Thanks!

No, I'm not sure what that means.

At the bottom of any topic it says:

You can post new topics in this forum

You can reply to topics in this forum

You cannot edit your posts in this forum

You cannot delete your posts in this forum

You can post attachments in this forum

And I do not see an edit button anywhere.

I appreciate the help.

When you open a thread, you will see an edit button in the lower right corner where you can edit your posts and the title of your posts...I edited my title, it does not effect yours...

You must be logged in... this was an edit...

Hi guys, please belive that Derek can't edit his posts even if you can. There is something in the forum settings which prevents *some* people from being able to edit their posts. I'm not sure if it's based on post count or registration date or ... but I hope to find out.

Cheers,

Zbynek

Hi Derek ...

please try it again to edit a posting. I saw you were not in the same groups as other users.

Has the edit button been removed?

At the bottom of the page it says "You can edit your posts in this forum"...

but I can't find a button.

I guess there is a time limit. My new posts have the button.
