(GG4.0) Creating web pages with applets that use Maxima.

Hello.

How can I make applets that use Maxima work? Is there any way at all, I just read "future of Geogebra" pdf, where it says it isn't planned at all and that only mathpiper will be available for geogebra web applets.

My problem is that I'm working on my B.Sc. work for my schools mathematics department and I was strictly told to work with Maxima (as its more powerful I suppose, existence of MathPiper wasn't even mentioned) and to create a certain series of GG applets.

So to ask clearly, is it possible, and how, to create geogebra applets/web pages that utilize CAS tools working trough Maxima?

I'm working with very strict time frames and would appreciate answer ASAP. :(

We're actually just switching to Reduce for the CAS engine which is comparable in complexity / sophistication to Maxima. You can try this in the latest 4.0 release.

We are not going to support using Maxima any more (either in Applet or Application mode).

Thank you very much for info. I'll just have to contact my mentor and renegotiate tasks and timeframes.

Will this, once its done, be immediately available on "daily beta builds download page"?
