Go ahead and play with the temperature and activation energy sliders below. Notice how the shape of the curve changes as you increase or decrease the temperature.

In this graph, the y-axis is "number of particles" and the x-axis is "kinetic energy". Thus, the we can tell how many particles will achieve the activation energy by looking at where the orange and blue lines intersect.

Keep an eye on how the number of particles reaching the activation energy changes as the temperature is increased or decreased.
